As you might have seen in the St Helens news, we at the FastFit Centre recently repaired a Honda Civic! We did it as quickly as possible to help Penny Skidmore visit her sick husband in the hospital, even though - as it was a 1990 model - finding the right car parts for this three-decade-old motor wasn't an easy ask.
But no job is too difficult for our dedicated mechanics team when we put our mind to it! It might be hard, but it's not impossible - and with a 1990 Honda Civic job more of a classic car repair than a modern vehicle repair, it was also something a bit different and interesting for our auto-nerds to get involved with.
Our mechanics team were scouring the markets to find the radiator, starter motor and battery that the Honda Civic required. Because we knew this was a time-sensitive job, we dedicated ourselves to getting these car parts as quickly as we could.
Diagnosing the Honda's repairs and completing them was an enjoyable job! It's great to be reminded of how these old cars operate.
But what was even better was when we received a card from Mrs Skidmore, and a lovely letter, and a £20 note for us to buy some fish and chips! Thank you very much Penny, the food was delicious, and the pleasure was all ours. We wish the best for you and your family!
