Recycling for a Greener Tomorrow
We take environmental responsibility seriously – from production to disposal. We work with reputable waste management companies and recycling partners to ensure waste is disposed of responsibly. Worn parts are recycled where possible; even used oil is reprocessed for other uses like marine oil.
Tyre recycling initiative: Our partner’s state-of-the-art plant enables 100% recycling of tyres, transforming them into quality products with minimal environmental impact.
Increasing recycling levels: We’re trialling tyre compressors at some of our centres to start the recycling process on-site and reduce transport. Your contribution towards recycling costs is itemised as “environmental tyre disposal.”
Ethical tyre sourcing: We only fit tyres that meet our strict safety and ethical sourcing standards. Our brands demonstrate commitment to sustainability, fuel efficiency and supply chain improvements.
Top tips for reducing your carbon footprint:
- Properly inflated tyres can save up to 3% on your fuel bill.
- Remove unnecessary items or roof racks from your car to reduce weight.
- Think ahead when driving and ease off the accelerator to gently stop.
- Use traffic websites/apps to avoid traffic jams and reduce unnecessary CO₂ emissions.
- Turn your engine off if you’re stopped for a minute or longer.
- Speeding and rapid acceleration wastes fuel and increases your carbon footprint.
- At low speeds, open windows are more efficient; at higher speeds, use air conditioning.
