"..At The FastFit Centre "Full Restoration" means just that..."

Arrange for our St Helens mechanics to pick up your classic camper and bring it to our garage, or bring it to our camper repair garage and we'll restore it as quickly as possible without compromising on quality.

We are specialists in complete "...ground, up" restorations where we will completely remove every nut and bolt from your van, send it away for blast cleaning which will reveal any and all problems with the metalwork.

Our sandblasting process leaves the body free of rust, filler and any other muck on the shell. We then go over the body & chassis with a fine tooth comb and repair any rusted areas with either; new, hand made or rust free parts. Any dents will be pulled out where possible and all repairs will be finished to as near a metal finish as possible to minimize the use of filler in the final stages before the application of high-build primer and top quality paint. This process is very in depth and takes some time but is always well worth it.

"Everything can be fixed"

It's a rare day that we have to tell someone that their classic camper is destined for the scrap yard in the sky. We always warn our customers to expect the worse when any project begins because the nature of the blast cleaning process is such, that it will reveal every problem the camper has, so invariably we find hidden nasty's that no-one knew was there.
Once the metalwork is complete and the body is prepared. We can paint your van in any color combination you wish. The inside, outside and underneath will be painted just how you want it. We only use high quality paints in our purpose built spray booth.

Under Body Treatment Wax Protection:

The prevention of rust on your cherished VW is of the most importance. It is challenge we all fight against after all no one wants to see their beautiful camper van going rusty!. One of the most fundamental processes you can apply to your classic Vdub is a protective wax coating to the underside and cavities of the car or the camper. We offer 3 levels of protection which will all combat the risk of rust or further rust!

Underside Wax:

The most common and probably most essential process.
Within our under body treatment service, we clean the underside of the vehicle down removing any loose debris, dust and loose rust. Once clean we spray a good layer of treatment, clear wax can be used if the underside of your van is nicely painted, which gives the underside a spongy yet tacky finish. This means it won't dry and chip off like other underseal products, the sponginess helps deflect road debris and the waxiness of the coating prevents water and road salt from sticking or remaining on the underside of the vehicle.
We recommend that if you are using you VW in the winter to regularly rinse the wheel arches (not jet wash) just to wash away any residues and keep the coating clear to do its job.
It is advisable to re-apply this every 3 years depending on the amount of usage.

Cavity Wax:

Often overlooked but can be as preventative as waxing the underside.
In this process we pump Clear Wax in to each of the vehicles chassis cavities, sill areas, front and rear valances, door bottoms etc. The aim of this is to prevent moisture from condensation from settling on the metalwork and causing it to rust. The wax stays soft and on very hot days can be seen dripping from some areas. Don't panic, this is a good thing because it means it has softened enough to become fluid and is more likely to fill all those nooks and crannies and prevent water getting in.
Ideally this also needs to be re-applied every 3-5 years, depending on the amount of outdoors time it has.

From £244.95

Combined Wax Protection:

Our preferred method of application is to apply both underside and cavity waxing in one go, this means your vehicle is protected, in all the places we can get it, to the same level of protection. This means you can apply and forget for the next few year until it needs doing again.
We offer a discount for combining both waxing services.
