We recently picked up a Mazda Bongo that was leaking oil excessively in the North West. There was another issue with this Mazda as the timing had "jumped" due to oil getting onto the timing belt. This is normally because of cam-seal failure, but further investigation showed the rocker cover gasket was leaking as well.
If a rocker cover is leaking on to a V6 Mazda Bongo engine, the technician will probably try to tighten it up, not realising that this can, and does crack the cam-shaft cap, causing oil to leak onto the cam belt. Fortunately, at The FastFit Centre, we are experts on Mazda Bongo vehicles, and we know to be extremely careful where this cap is located.
These caps are unobtainable, and more to the point, should not be "changed" even if you can get one. We have a specialist welder who will re-weld them then we spend some considerable time smoothing the faces to ensure the correct fit.
Our specialist mechanics are ready to help you today with any Bongo issue you may have. We offer a range of services across Mazda Bongo, Ford Freddie and mnay other MPV vehicles. If your Mazda Bongo or Ford Freddie is leaking oil, call us today on 01744 808586
