06 July 19 - Air Con Re-Gassing: What You Need To Know

With the summer months upon us and the weather heating up, you don't want to be stuck in a stifling hot car with no air conditioning! Your air conditioning will need regular maintenance to keep them in tip-top shape and working at their best, however with regular use they tend to become clogged so be careful!

What is air con re-gassing and why do I need It?

Air con re-gassing is the process of removing the old refrigerant gas from your air conditioning system and replacing it with new gas, so your air con will run cool again.
There are many reasons to get your air con re-gassed apart from the obvious one which would be to keep you and your passengers cool, it also has benefits regarding fuel efficiency because everyone wants to get the most out of their fuel and keep costs to a minimum. If you like getting the most out of your fuel, then you'll be interested to know that recharging your air con increases fuel efficiency, this is because when your air con refrigerant is low, the air con system struggles to cool the air, which uses more fuel.

How long does air con re-gassing take?

The process of air con re-gassing takes around about 45 minutes to remove the old gas and replace it with new refrigerant.
